Beyerdynamic joins the open-ear TWS trend with the VERIO 200

Beyerdynamic officially joins the ranks of Bose, Shokz, and other brands that offer open-ear headphones with the launch of the VERIO 200. These headphones aim to deliver Beyerdynamic’s well-known sound quality while keeping users aware of their surroundings.

This release follows Beyerdynamic’s seemingly annual unique release. As you may remember, it released its first wireless gaming headset in 2023 and its first true wireless earbuds in 2022.

“With VERIO 200 we offer our customers the unique opportunity to enjoy their favorite music or podcasts while being connected to the outside world. The supra-aural design also ensures excellent comfort. A perfect alternative to common in-ear models, which can sometimes create pressure in the ear canal.” says Beyerdynamic’s Managing Director, Andreas Rapp.

The VERIO 200 are a departure from Beyerdynamic’s traditional offerings.

At only 10.8 grams per earpiece, these open-ear, ear-hook headphones are said to be very light and comfortable. This is thanks to their flexible silicone and memory wire that fit well without pressing on the ear canal as many in-ear models do.

Plus, people who exercise or commute are reassured with their IP54 rating. This means you can confidently wear your VERIO 200s whether you’re caught in a light drizzle or sweating it out on your morning jog.

But it’s not all about the design and form factor.

For the sound quality, the VERIO 200 have a custom-designed 16.22mm graphene driver for each earpiece. These are said to be engineered to deliver Beyerdynamic’s signature sound quality in this new form factor.

And, to make sure they remain reliable, these headphones also support a wide array of audio codecs, including Qualcomm’s aptX™ Adaptive and Lossless, as well as AAC and SBC for high-quality audio playback across various devices and platforms.

The Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity also offers a 15-meter range and Multipoint support for easy switching between devices.

Communication clarity hasn’t been overlooked either. This is all thanks to the dual microphones featuring cVc™ technology for crystal-clear calls and seamless voice-assistant interactions.

You can use all these features for about 8 hours on one charge. The case, which charges with USB-C, also gives you 27 more hours. That’s 35 hours of total listening time!

And for those moments when you’re in a rush, a quick 10-minute charge gives you an hour of playtime.

This app will support future Beyerdynamic models as well. But, the previous MIY app remains available for older compatible models.
